WorldTouring
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
WorldTouring provides live audio and related tour-management services for organizations, guides, and tour guests. This Privacy Policy explains what information WorldTouring processes, how we use it, and the choices available to organizations and users.
1. Our privacy approach
WorldTouring is designed to support live tours, not to build advertising profiles.
We may send organization administrators or guides operational communications necessary to provide the service, such as account, security, support, or service-related notices. These are not marketing communications.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use personal information collected through the WorldTouring service for targeted advertising.
- We do not use guest participation information to market WorldTouring or other products to tour guests.
- We do not provide guest information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
2. Information we process
WorldTouring processes information needed to provide live audio and related tour-management services.
Organization administrators and guides
When an organization creates or uses a WorldTouring account, we may process name, email address, account credentials, organization membership, guide or administrator role, tours created, scheduled, or assigned, account and service activity, and information needed to provide support or secure the account.
Tour guests
Guests do not need to create a WorldTouring account.
During a live tour, WorldTouring may process the name entered by the guest, participation and session information, questions submitted through Ask the Guide, guide messages, and technical information necessary to operate and support the tour.
By default after a tour reaches a terminal state, WorldTouring removes guest names from participant records and deletes Ask the Guide questions and guide messages for that tour. Non-personal participant and tour records may remain for operational and historical purposes.
Organization-provided content
Organizations may provide organization name, logos and branding images, welcome text, tour names, tour schedules, locations, and other administrative information used to operate and brand their WorldTouring experience.
3. Technical and service information
WorldTouring may process IP address, browser and device information, operating system information, timestamps, request and application logs, connection information, and error or diagnostic information.
We use this information to operate WorldTouring, detect problems, protect the service, and improve reliability.
4. How we use information
WorldTouring uses personal information only as reasonably necessary to create and administer accounts; authenticate users; manage organizations, guides, and tours; provide live tour audio; allow guests to join tours; show guides current tour participation; provide Ask the Guide and guide messaging; provide customer support; diagnose technical problems; secure the service; maintain service records where reasonably necessary; and improve WorldTouring.
We do not use tour guest information for marketing.
5. Guest data retention
By default after a tour reaches a terminal state, WorldTouring removes guest names from participant records and deletes Ask the Guide questions and guide messages for that tour. Non-personal participant and tour records may remain for operational and historical purposes.
If an organization requires different retention, it may require a separate arrangement, separate configuration, and an organization-specific privacy policy or notice.
6. Guide and administrator information
WorldTouring retains guide and administrator account information while it is needed to provide the organization's account and maintain necessary historical or operational records.
Organization administrators can currently deactivate guide access. Guide deletion is not currently available through the organization administration experience.
7. Google Analytics on the public website
WorldTouring may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the public worldtouring.app website to understand how visitors use the site and improve its content and usability.
WorldTouring intends to use GA4 for website analytics only, not for advertising personalization, remarketing, or targeted advertising. WorldTouring will not intentionally send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying personal information to Google Analytics.
GA4 is not currently implemented on the public website.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The public WorldTouring website may use cookies or similar technologies for analytics and basic site operation. The live WorldTouring application may also use cookies or similar browser storage necessary for authentication, session management, and service operation.
If required by applicable law, WorldTouring will provide appropriate consent choices for analytics cookies.
9. Children and minors
WorldTouring may be used in tours that include people under 18, and some guides may also be minors.
WorldTouring is provided through organizations and is not designed to solicit personal information from children for advertising or marketing. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide the tour experience.
Organizations using WorldTouring are responsible for determining whether their own programs require parental consent, additional notices, or other safeguards.
10. Information processed on behalf of organizations
Organizations use WorldTouring to run their own tours. Some information WorldTouring processes is processed in order to provide services to that organization.
Organizations may separately collect information through registration systems, admissions systems, ticketing systems, CRM systems, or other tools. Those systems and practices are governed by the organization's own privacy policies, not this WorldTouring Privacy Policy.
For example, an organization may already know who registered for a tour before WorldTouring is used. WorldTouring does not assume responsibility for all information the organization collects independently.
11. Service providers
WorldTouring may use service providers to operate the platform, including hosting, communications infrastructure, analytics, and other technical services. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to WorldTouring, subject to their applicable agreements and privacy obligations.
We do not provide guest information to service providers for their own marketing purposes.
12. Security
WorldTouring uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect personal information.
No system can guarantee absolute security, and WorldTouring does not make an absolute security guarantee.
13. Data requests
Organizations and users may contact WorldTouring regarding access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with their WorldTouring account or use of the service.
Where WorldTouring processes information on behalf of an organization, we may direct the request to that organization when appropriate.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as WorldTouring changes. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy.
